About

What Brynsites is

Brynsites is a small, independent parent brand. It sits above a handful of web projects that would be awkward to file anywhere else.

Most technology companies are either one big product or a consultancy pretending not to be. Brynsites is neither. It is an umbrella for work that is real and useful but does not justify its own company: browser tools, small web apps, a few games, and the occasional experiment that got out of hand.

Everything under Brynsites is built and maintained in-house by a very small team — realistically one person, Dan — which is why the projects are deliberately unambitious in scope and ambitious in finish.

Structure

One parent, several projects

  • BrynsitesParent

The umbrella. Owns the domain, the shelf, and the decisions about what belongs on it.

  • BryntechnologiStudio

Client-facing web development, static site builds and consulting.

  • NameTwist, DevvyTool, StillHex, ClyngonProjects

Independently run products, each on its own subdomain, each with its own tone.

Bryntechnologi keeps its own site and its own voice, because mixing client work with browser games makes both of them worse.

Other shelves

This is one umbrella of several

Brynsites is not the whole picture. There are other shelves under other names — separate umbrellas for things like music and audio, writing, and reference or knowledge projects. None of them live here, and that is deliberate.

Keeping the umbrellas apart keeps each one coherent. A site that is half browser games and half an essay archive has no through-line, and visitors have to work out what they are looking at. A shelf with one theme can be specific about what it is for, and honest about what it is not.

The rule is simple: if a project has a clear theme and enough company to justify its own home, it gets one. Everything that has no natural theme — the miscellany, the slightly business-y, the half-finished — stays here on Brynsites, which is exactly what this shelf is for.

The other shelves are separate brands, so they are not linked from here as one portfolio. This page describes the structure, not a directory.

Principles

How we work

  • Small on purpose

Fewer projects, properly finished. The shelf grows when something earns its place, not because a roadmap said to ship.

  • No trackers

No analytics, no cookies, no consent banner, no pop-ups. Pages load, they work, you leave.

  • Honest labels

Every project carries a status: live, building, parked or retired. Nothing is quietly pretending to be bigger than it is.

  • Built to last

Static output, few dependencies, boring technology. The kind of site that still works in five years without anyone babysitting it.
